Gaps, not there?

These port holes look like windows. Only the lower stateroom cabin port hole at port bow is a real window. The other grey elliptical holes are vents and flood holes.

The stateroom cabin port window was selected to suit the vent and flood hole shape. Painting the vent and flood holes a chrome colour after was done to improve the lining of the vessel and to add levels to the design.

Though they are not real windows they do not provide false appearance. The saloon and galley cabins are lighted by large windows above deck. Those, gaps, were never there.

The Garmin network is joined with a Chirp Sonar transducer and a Sensor Transducer:

The fittings are a pair providing underwater information, which was not fed to the previous recreational fish finder, which only read fish under the boat.

Seabed formation and chart datum, is accessibly given to the network for navigation and detailed pictures of below waterline with the new Garmin devices.

A pleasure ship with more to meets the eye of trans-ducers.
Bronze Marine Smart - Multi Sensor Transducer
Aiemar DST 800L
Retractable transducer
45 degree beam angle - long - stem sensor
Cable length 4’6” with garmin certified field installed end connector
Operating frequency 235kHz
Built in:
Speed Sensor
Depth Sensor
Temperature Sensor

GarminGT15M-IH Transducer, Mid band chirp traditional, 85-165 kHz, 600W, Max depth (Freshwater) 1,900ft/580m, through hull sonar.

The Changing Room, is a, Saloon

The original post at the start of the refurbishing was titled, The Changing Room, for a reason.
Picture
The original saloon was solely for recreation and endurance of offshore travelling. The first phase of refurbishing took shape with the erected wall behind the helm, then refurbished seating with a new casing of cushions. The colours were emerging and blinds added the same year, showed promise of the executive potential.

The now refurbishing, was for the wall and privacy door behind the gangway and navigation desks. The original storage units were stripped down. And a research station desk fitted over a new flooring. The addition of a glossy black coffee table, low and square with orientation of its own 3 layers, gave the saloon a contemporary finish. The new shelf and units for book and drinks storage, was an innovation after the original stripped down storage units offered parts that could be used. An ornament table was made collapsable, with the same original material.

Fasten your Harnesses !!

The new grab rails, fitted to required standard for coding commercial merchant vessel of this type. The 8 grab rails are positioned for the crew to attach harnesses to in rough or even only choppy weather.

The positioning was made to suit the safety of crew and passenger movement, while keeping to the build lines of the trawler.

The interior grab rails needed to be fastened to the fixed storage unit, to securely perform without risk of being a damage or annoyance. The movement in location left an extra grab rail needed, for the counter and cooker area of the galley. These interior grab rails were white cap teak, available from Amazon at under 20 euros.

The fixtures of the interior grab rails were done with drilled holes from the handle end to the foot end and then screwed into place. The other option was to drill from the storage unit into the grab rail feet. Wood oil can be applied to protect the wood colour.

The exterior grab rails were fixed with a drill screw and sikaflex, over the strongest mounting points, to avoid splitting the fibreglass. Then polished clean, clear for cruising speed at optimum anytime. To your seats, its approaching.

“It’s still on hold!..... but, you can see a change in the registered name of TandEadapt at. Weebly .com to: www.skerd4u.com

TandEadapt.weebly.com was temporally removed to reserve the new address. Sorry, if that caused any inconvenience. With, Weebly, you can select a free domain with . Weebly or a registered private one. We didn’t want to say goodbye to our 6 years using TandEadapt, so after the purchase of new domain we wrote it back as the holding one. 🤣🥂

Cheers, from .... yes..

Still!,,, on hold!!

The propeller guards are here, fully mounted with option of retraction for replacing or cleaning propellers. The supports, in inox, will hold the weight of the vessel to prevent damage from stress on the shafts. Damage from landing stress here, would cause wobbling to reduce the performance, shake the vessel or freeze the propeller rotation entirely.

Whats the, hold up?

The Propeller Gaurds are an inovation commonly used on outboard engines. Here, they've been adapted to support the twin shafts attached to the inboard Ford Diesels, which give momentum to the propellers. The modification will allow landing on low tides and drying heights of more than chart datum, without stressing the propeller blades and the shafts. If there was stress from the weight of the stern on the propeller at slanted beach, for example: the propellers would be immobilised and the shafts would bend.

Designs were drawn with the stabilisers and bow bulb, to create a stable landing trawler, with added landing legs on any suitable anchor. Thats the hold up.

Coding Codes

4/18/2019

A full day on the dry docks revealed the safe seaworthiness for crew and clients travelling on, TandEadapt. The surveyer for, AP Saveyors, did a full examination to initiate the process of being granted a full Catagory 2 Merchant Ship registration. It revealed very few problems, leaving the list of coded items realistic, without a fail before the sea test with crew.

Of those changes, the obvious was a coolant leak in the port engine, bearings on the shafts and some slight eroding of the metal surface outside. However, waiting for all items needed to be listed and handed for the confident granting of the certificate, there are not problems which failed the examination. The coding codes are pushed.
