Out with the old but they're fit, Navmen, to be sold.

The Navman autopilot was successfully removed in sellable condition. One control unit has already been sold but the rest of the kit compromising of : autopilot, gyro, compass and control unit is going on eBay.

The only reason for removing it was it is not fully compatible with the Garmin GPSmaps on the lower and upper helm of TandEadapt. For this reason it's been replaced with a new Garmin Core Reactor Autopilot kit, which is being installed.

A Captains Tale

The business on this trawler isn't all upgrades and maintenance. TandEadapt, was chosen for adequate living space as well as sea worthiness, which made it possible to complete writing goals and other office work within her cabins sharing 38 feet overall length. Here I'm completing a publication that is to be released on 1st of May. 2 weeks from this date. It's sure to be a Captain's tale.

A Changing Saloon

There were several upgrades to the Saloon in 2014 and 2015 but it's still changing. Plans to build a cabinet in the new wall dividing the saloon from the wheelhouse and a recliner chair where the TV has been mounted, in the left corner of the cabin, are being drawn. Then, to add a luxurious feeling of private space, a black crystal beaded curtain will drop in the doorway and open space leading into the wheelhouse. Now thats a changing room, I mean Saloon.

Whoops! Rope really left a line

Two ropes either side of the bow have gotten tough enough in the rain and sun to burn into the beams covering the top sides. I'll have to think to amend this but first thing that comes to mind is to cover this area with steel; hiding the damage and preventing future problems like this.

This is a purely cosmetic issue. It doesn't affect the performance or stability of the trawler in any way.

A Stern Eye will Sea

First Camera on TandEadapt. Essential now because the wall erected in the saloon completely blocks the view of the back of the trawler when reversing from the new wheelhouse. This camera should work with both the garmin GPSMap 5012 and the 751xs chart plotters. It will make it possible to view off the stern of the trawler at any time. It functions Day and Night with IR technology. It also has the ability to move left and right with the added benefit of a zoom. What an eye I have.
