Sea Power Wash and Wax, gave a white shine to TandEadapt, with 2 hrs of elbow rubbing. It could have taken longer if I had OCD and tried to remove every scuff from the walkway top sides on the side decks. No I'll remove those over the entire 5 years I'm running this campaign. Yes, ... Insociant Obsesive Disorder. Much more to the liking.

We are ready for the Party Diva Mother, Liz Mitchell, Boney M.

Brass for the Cabins at last

30 or so fixings cleaned with the method of leaving them in diluted Sabesto, for the off-colour to be broken down and dissolved. Then wiping them with a scouring pad. Took all day and ended leaving me with a bad reaction from my eczema on the hands.

Guess the stage gloves are a better make.

TandEadapt - till LIFE

A pot of life on the growingly mechanical utility that is, TandEadapt and her Crew. This ephemeral addition is almost as durable as the machines about her. Costing only 6 Euros, these cactus plants won't need water or attention for months. Yet, they'll photosynthesise, improving our air and look pleasant.

Theres only the issue of :
1. Bugs, which I've prevented with repellents.
2. Support in choppy water, which I'll secure with a rubber band strapped around all four pots. Thereby increasing their surface area enough to not topple over.

Scott and I, put an early job in this morning to clean the Flybridge Screen. It was faded and not viewable for looking through.

A simple remedy was was suggested by Scott: vegetable oil.

The Flybridge screens of this type are coated with an oil base. When another oil solution of the right type is added, the clearaity of it can partially or even fully be restored.

Gone, the green on Flybridge

Not an alarming problem. It was hardly noticeable but if it remained for another while, removing it would be more than 2 hours scrubbing and might have not been possible at all.

The shine of rust is: TandEadapt

Many of the steel fixings on TandEadapt had corroded. These fixing are actually pricy, some setting you back 50 Euros or more. There is hope however, even when pretty much all the fixings on your 38ft Trawler Yacht are rusty.

Brasso is one product you can buy for under 50 Euros. You can rub most corrosion spots off with that.

Altrnatively, I've used a simpler and much more cost effect method. Sabesto, is an all purpose heavy duty liquid cleaner. With this stuff you can apply a small amount into a large cup of water. Then put all your corroded fixings in there. Leave it for an hour. Then rub off any remaining spots with a scouring pad. Job done and you've used three sprays from a 20 Euro bottle.

Wash and Waxed the hull of the decks this morning, in preparation for a crew conditioning week starting on Monday. Didn't do her top sides (the outer hull.) But the decks and Flybridge are sparkling.

Moss as has grown on the Flybridge deck. It can grow to be unmovable if left for too long. I'll remove it soon.

The day ends with a more tidy yacht than I've been in. Cleaning would be a potential career choice but I keep the wrong kind of gloves in my cupboards, for the stage.

The afternoon presented the opportunity to communicate the issues affecting TandEadapts proper progress, as she's prepared for commercial chartering.
