Designs were drawn with the stabilisers and bow bulb, to create a stable landing trawler, with added landing legs on any suitable anchor. Thats the hold up.
The Propeller Gaurds are an inovation commonly used on outboard engines. Here, they've been adapted to support the twin shafts attached to the inboard Ford Diesels, which give momentum to the propellers. The modification will allow landing on low tides and drying heights of more than chart datum, without stressing the propeller blades and the shafts. If there was stress from the weight of the stern on the propeller at slanted beach, for example: the propellers would be immobilised and the shafts would bend. Designs were drawn with the stabilisers and bow bulb, to create a stable landing trawler, with added landing legs on any suitable anchor. Thats the hold up.
